OMV appreciates the opportunity to comment on the proposals. This is a first assessment of these proposals, which will have to be discussed extensively in the process ahead.
OMV is undertaking the largest transformation in its history. To support this ambition, OMV is developing circular, renewable and synthetic fuels and chemicals projects, including solutions based on green hydrogen and biogenic CO. These products will offer customers a lower-carbon value proposition and support the transition to a more sustainable chemicals value chain.
We appreciate the Commissions efforts to reassess the EUs energy security framework. While the current EU SoS architecture functions relatively well, the rapid evolution of the energy sector presents growing challenges, especially in ensuring that mechanisms remain effective and practical for crisis management.
