NFU believes that the proposed EU.Inc framework fundamentally misdiagnoses Europes venture capital challenges. The core problem is not fragmented incorporation procedures or administrative burdens, but the difficulty of transplanting U.S.-style venture capital structures into Europes very different legal and institutional systems.

Counts here are a floor, never a total: they cover the 326 consultation files tracked so far (29,503 submissions, mostly 2025–26), so an organization's real filing history is larger, not smaller.
Who they are
Among the 311 trade unions and professional associations on this site, they rank #96 by legislative files engaged — a count of participation, not a measure of influence.

Their record over time
Nordic Financial Unions filed 4 positions between 18 Sept 2025 and 20 May 2026, across 3 of the 326 legislative files tracked here, attaching a full position paper 3 times.
What they argued
If the European Commission chooses to put forward a proposal for a 28th regime for company law rather than prioritising deeper integration of the Capital Markets Union and the Savings and Investment Union, NFU recommends that such an initiative follow the approach taken by the European Parliaments INL draft report.
The Nordic Financial Unions (NFU) supports the original objectives of the Shareholder Rights Directive (SRD II), which were shaped by lessons from the 2008 financial crisis and aimed at strengthening long-termism, accountability, and sustainable corporate governance.
In the following NFU concentrates on remaining gaps and areas where our member unions see room for stronger protections through further-going harmonisation. Overall NFU concludes that the standard has been raised compared to the pre-Directive situation.
