The Czech Republic welcomes the proposal of the 8th Environment Action Programme. The EAPs proved to be useful guiding framework for European environmental protection. Compared to the 7th EAP, the 8th is rather short. Even though we understand the reason why and reference to the EGD, we want to make sure it does not create a precedent for the future EAPs.

We would welcome more transparency in project evaluation (more predictable for applicants) – i.e. the feedback provided by the European evaluator towards applicants should be: in our view, a clear description of what was missing/not stated – a description of what the evaluator expected and did not find in the project – expressions such as insufficiently described, too general, etc.
