As a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist working in an acute hospital, I support efforts to improve professional mobility across Europe. However, I have concerns that the proposed Common Training Framework (CTF) does not fully reflect differences in autonomy, competence, and scope of practice across Member States.

Whilst I support freedom of movement within the EU and as a clinic owner, would struggle to find Physiotherapists to join our team and so often interview Physiotherapist entering Ireland from abroad. It has become very evident to me the difference in Physiotherapy Undergrad curriculum and exposure to hands on experience amongst newly qualified Physiotherapists from different EU countries.
