Businesses whether small or large, require clear and simple rules to allow for setting up efficient processes dealing with CBAM requirements in general, assess impacts accurately, conduct proper financial planning and reduce any type of risk to a minimum. With missing default and benchmark values, unclear verification procedures and liability rules for supplier emissions data none of the above is possible.

Their record over time
MAHLE filed 4 positions between 28 Jul 2025 and 24 Jun 2026, across 4 of the 326 legislative files tracked here, attaching a full position paper 1 time.
What they argued
MAHLE Position on the DPP Registry The Digital Product Passport (DPP) has the potential to impose significant efforts and costs on the economy. While MAHLE strongly supports transparency for consumers and customers, the automotive industry already operates under several regulations ensuring transparent access to component data the MAHLE spare parts catalogue being one example.
MAHLE is a leading international development partner and supplier to the automotive industry with customers in both passenger car and commercial vehicle sectors. Through our division Lifecycle and Mobility we provide approximately 150 million spare parts globally and develop service equipment utilized by workshops in vehicle repair and maintenance as well as roadworthiness inspections.
The upcoming Euro 7 regulation introduces brake particle emission limits for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, with requirements taking effect in November 2026. As a Tier 1 automotive supplier with a broad aftermarket portfolio, the current state of the implementing regulation raises significant concerns that must be addressed.
