The main challenges facing the outermost regions are access to transport and to high-quality and cheap housing, and a lack of jobs. To shape regional policy in such a way that the country does not have one or more satellite centres (big cities), but to support the creation of new jobs also in the regions by investing public funding to facilitate transport and access to housing.
