What they argued

Common Training Framework for Physiotherapistsfiled 22 Jun 2026source

My concerns regarding the proposed CTF are: 1. Risk of a downward harmonisation of standards Ireland's four-year honours degree is at the higher end of European entry-level programmes. Across Europe, entry-level education ranges from 3 to 5 years with programmes awarding either a diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree.

Common Training Framework for Physiotherapistsfiled 16 Jun 2026source

I do not agree with this initiative. It will change the value of physiotherapists in Ireland. There has been lots of money, effort and time put into protecting the title of physiotherapist in Ireland. This has served the public so that people know that when someone is registered, they can expect a certain standard of treatment.
