Going beyond displacement - migration and planned relocation can be adaptation strategies to climate change impacts to increase resilience also within the EU: Reports of wildfires as well as floods are now regular features of the summer in Europe and keep on intensifying both in frequency and impact, including by leading to evacuations and displacement (see also IPCC AR6, 2023).
