Helsinki-Uusimaa Region welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the consultation on the Industrial Accelerator Act. The region accounts for one-third of Finlands population, 39% of GDP, half of R&D expenditure, one third of industrial value added and nearly half of the chemical industry. The objective of strengthening Europes industrial base is essential but requires further refinement.
The Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council welcomes the European Commissions initiative to prepare a European Innovation Act (EIA). The Act is timely to strengthen Europes ability to bring innovations to market, scale across borders, and maintain global competitiveness.
