Acceleration of industrial capacity and decarbonisation in strategic sectors (Industrial Accelerator Act)filed 4 Jul 2025PDFsource

Fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants climate-neutrally grown. That is our ambition for 2040. Our growers are eager to rapidly reduce their dependence on fossils through scaling the production of renewables and improving energy efficiency. Decarbonising our energy-intensive sector is at the heart of our future competitiveness as it reduces our footprint, tackles high energy costs, and boosts Europes sovereignty.

European Biotech Actfiled 6 Jun 2025PDFsource

Fruit, vegetables, flowers, and plants grown with net-zero emissions nor residues on products. This is our ambition for 2030. Our growers are moving from conventional synthetic to greener plant protection like natural enemies, Biocontrol, precision techniques, and low-risk substances. The past 15 years, the footprint of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) has accordingly dropped by 90 per cent.

ETS2 Financial compensationfiled 11 Aug 2026PDFsource

Glasshouse horticulture The Netherlands welcomes the Commission’s proposal to enable financial compensation of ETS 2 costs for end users. This is important to avoid that ETS-2 leads to unintended costs for entrepreneurs that are in principle outside ETS-2. The proposed framework provides an important basis for Member States to address those financial consequences of ETS-2 in a proportionate manner.
