What they argued

Renewable energy legal framework post-2030filed 15 Apr 2026PDFsource

Introduction: Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) as Irelands Gas Transmission System Operator (TSO) welcomes the opportunity to respond to this call for evidence. GNIs gas network serves Irelands energy needs today, and in the future will transform into a fully decarbonised network displacing natural gas with renewable gases such as biomethane and, in time, green hydrogen.

Revision of the EU’s energy security frameworkfiled 13 Oct 2025PDFsource

Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) as Irelands Gas Transmission System Operator (TSO) welcomes the opportunity to respond to this call for evidence. As a member of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), GNI believe that there is a need to expand the scope of the Energy Security Framework to plan for inter-alia risks involving cybersecurity, supply chain and geo-political instability.
