Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) welcomes the ECs proposal for an Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA) and supports strengthening Europes industrial competitiveness while decarbonising. The proposal rightly recognises that long permitting timelines, insufficient investment certainty and fragmented market conditions continue to delay final investment decisions in strategic sectors.

GIE welcomes the European Commissions initiative to review and update the Climate and Environmental Delegated Acts of the EU Taxonomy. This revision is an important opportunity to improve the clarity, usability, and coherence of the TSC, and to ensure full alignment with the EUs evolving climate, industrial, and carbon management policies.

Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), an association representing the interests of European gas infrastructure operators, welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing public consultations on the revision of the Delegated Regulations amending the EU Taxonomy Climate Delegated Act and acknowledges the EU Commissions efforts to enhance the frameworks usability and effectiveness.

Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) represents more than 70 operators of natural gas and hydrogen transmission pipelines, storages and terminal infrastructures. Our members invest in infrastructure to transport and store natural gas, including biomethane and synthetic methane, hydrogen and CO2.
