What they argued

Commission Directive amending Annex III of the Nitrates Directivefiled 7 May 2024source

Approving this clause means a regression in the protection of soils and aquifers, as it does not lead to any progress in authorising more than 170 kg/ha regardless of the source of nitrogen used. The use of this technology is expensive and unrealistic for a scale of family farming.

Amending certain CAP Regulations as regards the conditionality system, types of intervention in the form of direct payment, types of intervention in certain sectors and rural development and annual performance reports, data and interoperability governance, suspensions of payments annual performance clearance and controls and penalties (Omnibus III)filed 2 Jul 2025PDFsource

From the Global Nature Foundation, we welcome some aspects of the proposal: — Automatic recognition of compliance with several GAECs (1, 3, 4, 5 and 6) for certified organic farms, which reduces unjustified administrative burdens. — The increase of the simplified annual payment until 2.500, which improves accessibility for small-scale farms.
