What they argued

Amending certain production, labelling and certification rules and certain rules on trade with third countriesfiled 11 Nov 2025PDFsource

Forum Fairer Handel is a fair trade association in Germany. Its goal is to raise the profile of fair trade, formulate joint demands towards political decision makers and to achieve greater awareness for fair trade practices as well as for the demands of smallholder producers. We welcome the Commissions initiative to adapt Regulation 2018/848 to ease implementation efforts for organic producers.

Revision of EU rules on business-to-business unfair trading practices in the food supply chainfiled 14 Feb 2026PDFsource

As an association of fair trade in Germany, we stand up for small producers worldwide. Both they and smaller producers, such as Fair Trade companies, are significantly affected by power imbalances in highly concentrated agri-food supply chains. The UTP Directive is an important tool to strengthen its negotiating position. We share the European Commission’s assessment that the Directive has had positive effects.
