Counts here are a floor, never a total: they cover the 326 consultation files tracked so far (29,503 submissions, mostly 2025–26), so an organization's real filing history is larger, not smaller.

Who they are

Among the 311 trade unions and professional associations on this site, they rank #117 by legislative files engaged — a count of participation, not a measure of influence.

Multiannual plans for certain stocks fished in the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the Western Waters, and for fisheries exploiting those stocks: targets for fixing fishing opportunitiesfiled 25 Jan 2024source

Sustainable fishing in the EU: state of play and orientations for 2025filed 7 Aug 2024source

The poor status of the Baltic Sea and some fish stocks is quite well described. Unfortunately, for the reasons given, the sharply increased influence of predators such as cormorants and hop dog are not properly taken into account and are not included in all fishing opportunities calculations.
