Counts here are a floor, never a total: they cover the 326 consultation files tracked so far (29,503 submissions, mostly 2025–26), so an organization's real filing history is larger, not smaller.
Who they are
Among the 1205 trade and business associations on this site, they rank #365 by legislative files engaged — a count of participation, not a measure of influence.

What they argued
On behalf of The International Federation of Film Distributors' and Publishers' Associations (FIAD), a trade association representing over 200 film distribution companies in 15 European countries through its membership of national associations of film distributors, it is essential that the film and audiovisual sector continue to remain exempt from the Geo-blocking Regulation.
The International Federation of Film Distributors and Publishers' Associations (FIAD) gathers national organisations of film distribution companies. Film distributors are the intermediaries between film producers and cinema exhibitors and cover the entire range of companies: small and medium-sized companies specialized in art house films, as well as larger companies focused on mainstream films.
FIAD welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the Commissions assessment of the 2023 Recommendation on combating online piracy of sports and other live events. While supporting the Recommendations objectives, FIAD urges the Commission to also acknowledge the broader threat piracy poses to the entire film and audiovisual sector, particularly theatrical film distribution.
The International Federation of Film Distributors' and Publishers Associations (FIAD) welcomes this opportunity to provide feedback on the Creative Europe programmes. Please find our feedback attached as a PDF. FIAD represents over 200 film distribution companies in 14 European countries through its membership of national associations of film distributors.
