In line with the comments received from the European chemical industry represented by Cefic, welcomes the European Commission’s proposal for an Ecodesign Regulation for sustainable products and supports the overall objectives of this ambitious initiative. A proper implementation of the ESPR is an opportunity for industry to take an active role in the transition of the European market towards sustainable products.

Reach is the most comprehensive regulatory framework in place to ensure the safe use of chemicals. Recent European Commission reviews concluded that the system is fit for purpose, meets its objectives and serves as a model for third countries’ chemical legislation. The harmonisation of 44 to. of MMA (type of vehicle PESADO 2 axles + 3 tridem) from the current 13 countries that authorise it to any EU border is very obvious. If this MMA is authorised on both sides, the same reasons for saving fuel, reducing Geis, congestion, negative externalities of road freight transport, competitiveness of transport costs, etc.
