The Public Procurement Directive introduces a number of procurement requirements that the French Public Procurement Code has sometimes overtransposed. For reasons of simplification, the FFB wonders whether it is appropriate to amend this Directive: many French public buyers find it difficult to comply with this public procurement code resulting from the current Directive.

The French Building Federation welcomes this proposal to recast the Directive on the energy performance of buildings. However, it calls for vigilance regarding the risk of dispersion, resulting from a desire to cover multiple aspects in a single text.
