The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) welcomes the Biotech Act as an initiative to support clinical research by improving the European legal framework. The Acts preamble explicitly outlines a commitment to supporting clinical trial sponsors, and particularly non-commercial sponsors that conduct the majority of minimal- and low-intervention clinical trials in the Union.
