The Polish employers strongly support the direction of the revision of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and actions aimed at increasing the efficiency of the European regulatory system for medical devices. We believe that the changes should foster faster patient access to innovative health technologies, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality of medical devices.

1. The operating and investment costs of Fleet Electricity mean that EV vehicles are much more expensive than tailpipe vehicles and, in connection with this process, companies must also invest in the network of chargers (including back-up facilities). Logistics operators point to an average payback of such investments of up to 5 years, putting pressure on the budget (despite lower current energy costs).

As the Commission rightly notes, consumption for heating and cooling accounts for half of the EU's energy consumption, and the energy transformation of this sector is progressing much slower than in the case of electricity.
