Elektrosmog a zdravie

The citizens’ association ‘Electrosmog and Health’ welcomes the aim of ensuring a high level of patient safety. The inclusion of protective devices intended to reduce exposure to electromagnetic fields among medical devices or their accessories should also be considered in the upcoming revision of the rules on medical devices.

The Citizens’ Association Elektrosmog and Health welcomes the fact that the European Commission is working on the development of digital infrastructure. At the same time, we are concerned that the debate is largely technically-economic, without sufficient consideration of the impact on public health and the environment.

The citizens’ association Elektrosmog and Health does not consider the digital transition to be green and far from being a solution to climate issues. On the contrary, with the digital switchover and 5G, the evironmental burden will increase. Producers must give priority to protecting the environment over profit. Products shall have built-in recyclability and reparability.

We are pleased that this initiative is ongoing because open data is in the public interest. Our citizens’ association calls for the introduction of the passporting and registration of broadcasters, i.e. the obligation to publish the location and parameters of BTS broadcasters under the Public Access to Information Act.

We consider it essential that the digital transformation is aligned not only with technological and economic objectives, but also with the protection of the environment, public health, privacy, security and fundamental rights.

Customers are not aware of what amount of personal data is copied into the car console as soon as any smartphone is attached to the car. Cars collect more data than our smartphones and share it with third parties if the vehicle has a built-in internet connection. An overall consumer profile is created and passengers can see targeted advertising for the “driver’s seat or passenger”.

The citizens’ association Elektrosmog and Health welcomes this initiative as we believe in better monitoring of the polluters of the animal environment. Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields (RF EMPs) are also considered to be such pollution. We therefore ask for this parameter to be included in the data collected.

The Citizens’ Association Elektrosmog and Health welcomes this initiative as this initiative would help deliver on the European Green Deal with the main objective of reducing consumer energy bills and improving the EU’s security of supply by reducing primary energy consumption and reducing energy imports. However, one aspect has not been identified in the proposed Directive: wireless communications.

The citizens’ association Elektrosmog and Health welcomes this initiative because, in our view, it is important to educate customers on the safe use of modern technologies, especially wireless devices. The proposed law should address the following problems: Problem 1: People already need to be informed about the health threats of radio-frequency radiation when purchasing any device with a wireless function.
