We welcome the objective of enhancing transparency of skills and qualifications to facilitate cross-border labour mobility, as well as efforts to improve recognition processes for regulated professions. However, transparency alone will not remove the structural obstacles that continue to hinder labour mobility in border regions. Simplification, interoperability and faster procedures are equally necessary.
