What they argued

Implementing rules on registering in and reporting to the register of producersfiled 19 Aug 2026source

Ladies and gentlemen, we have been selling online on a small scale in Germany for many years and have regularly supplied customers in other EU Member States. We expressly support the PPWR’s fundamental objectives of reducing packaging waste, promoting recycling and ensuring that companies contribute adequately to the costs of disposing of their packaging.

Implementing rules on registering in and reporting to the register of producersfiled 11 Aug 2026source

Dear European Commission, as an online trader, I am constantly trying to package my packages as environmentally friendly as possible, to reduce my return rate and to use boxes several times. And I am absolutely in favour of every trader working for it. However, the PPWR law created a bureaucratic monster that makes it even harder for small traders like me to survive alongside the big players.
