The German lignite industry welcomes the opportunity to give feedback on the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Cohesion Fund (CF) and particularly the Just Transition Fund (JTF). The extraction of lignite and its use in German power plants will end by 2038 at the latest and by 2030 in the Rheinish lignite region. This is about 10 years earlier than originally planned by the companies and authorities.
