The French Confederation of SMEs (CPME) strongly supports efforts to enhance SME access to public procurement markets. However, we believe that the current legal framework already includes the necessary mechanisms to achieve this goal effectively. The main issue lies in the underutilization of these mechanisms, as well as the practical challenges encountered during their implementation.

CPME (French Confederation of SMEs) welcomes the opportunity to respond to the European Commissions public consultation and is pleased to submit its contribution. In essence, CPME supports the proposal to establish an optional 28th regime for companies, provided that several essential conditions are met.

The Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises strongly supports the idea of facilitating the access of VSEs/SMEs to public procurement, but considers that the current legal framework already has some mechanisms in place to achieve this effectively. The real problem lies less in the absence of devices than in their under-use, as well as in the practical obstacles encountered in their implementation.

The Confédération des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (CPME) represents French SMEs across all sectors and regions. In its response to the consultation on the EU Cybersecurity Act, CPME supports the objective of strengthening cybersecurity, but stresses the need for a more accessible, consistent and proportionate framework.

CPME thanks the European Commission for this consultation on the Innovation Act and welcomes the opportunity to contribute its perspective. In its position, the Confederation highlights the strategic imperative of closing the EUs innovation gap by creating a regulatory framework that facilitates the growth of innovative enterprises, particularly SMEs.

The Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (CPME) welcomes the publication by the European Commission of its White Paper on digital infrastructure and wishes to convey a number of attractive considerations to French VSEs/SMEs. As the Confederation of SMEs (CPME), we would like to draw the Commission’s attention to the growing imbalances in the commercial accommodation market. The rapid development of alternative accommodation offers takes place without a regulatory framework equivalent to that applicable to traditional operators. This creates distortions of competition and weakens the level playing field in the internal market.

Worker mobility is a key lever for completing the Single Market and strengthening the competitiveness of the European Union. This is why the French Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CPME) regrets that the free movement of workers, despite being enshrined at the core of the Treaties, has not yet become a fully effective reality.
