Imported organic products have a significant weight in the EU agri-food sector.

The French Fair Trade Movement thanks the European Commission for its efforts to simplify the requirements for European farmers. However, it wishes to draw attention to the consequences of the organic regulations (EU 2018/848 and 2021/279) for producers in third countries supplying the European market, and calls for this simplification to be extended to these actors.
