Climate Leadership Coalition

CLC welcomes the ambition of the EU Circular Economy Act (CEA) and recognizes circularity as a vital element of European resilience and environmental sustainability as well as competitiveness. Circularity and access to materials is critical for the EUs industry. The EU needs to secure access to such materials and reduce dependence on unreliable suppliers.

In response to the European Commissions call for public consultation on the revision of the EU public procurement rules, this statement sets out Climate Leadership Coalitions (CLC) position on the proposed initiative to revise the public procurement directives, aiming to give preference to European products in public procurement, and to modernise and simplify procurement rules.

Climate Leadership Coalition (CLC) welcomes the Commissions proposal for a Regulation on a monitoring framework for resilient European forests, we view that enhancing the availability and quality of data on forests within the EU is needed. Climate change will lead to increasing stress in forest ecosystems and more frequent hazards like forest fires, pest outbreaks and droughts.

In response to the European Commissions public consultation on the EU-wide End-of-Waste (EoW) criteria for plastic waste, this statement outlines the Climate Leadership Coalitions (CLC) position on the proposed initiative.
