Central Europe Energy Partner (CEEP) would like to present its comments to the Inception Impact assessment for the revision of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). We believe that achieving climate neutrality should be made in a gradual and coherent manner without overlapping policies and tools but also should set a clear pathway for industry in the regulatory framework. Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) welcomes the initiative to revise the guidelines for trans-European Energy infrastructure. This regulation has been crucial for better integration of European energy markets. Particularly in Central and Eastern Europe it has allowed, via PCI process and CEF funding, to plan, build and operate number of projects which contribute to the development on internal energy market.
Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) as an organisation representing energy and energy-intensive companies from Central European Member States supports a fair transition to a climate neutral economy. CEEP has been advocating for the creation and operation of the special dedicated mechanism, which would help and facilitate this transition, for a long time.
