What they argued

Simplification of some requirements and reduction of administrative burden in the areas of batteries and industrial emissions reporting (Omnibus VIII on environmental legislation)filed 6 May 2026PDFsource

The Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießerei-Industrie e.V. (BDG) welcomes the European Commission’s commitment to reduce the administrative burden for businesses and public authorities in the EU. In recent years, the administrative burden, especially on small and medium-sized enterprises, has increased to an extent that is no longer affordable for SMEs.

Green-listing certain waste for the purposes of shipments to recovery between Member Statesfiled 11 Sept 2026PDFsource

The Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießerei-Industrie e.V. supports the Commission’s objective of simplifying shipments of waste for recycling within the EU by clarifying and expanding the green list waste categories. This can reduce administrative burden while supporting a stronger single market for secondary raw materials. We advocate for the transfer of foundry sand from the yellow to the green list.
