We sincerely appreciate the opportunity provided to third-country industry associations and companies to express views in this consultation. We would also like to express our deep respect for the EUs leadership in implementing environmental regulations such as the CBAM, which drive global progress toward a sustainable society.

What they argued
Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion on the CBAM. There are multiple forms of carbon pricing outside the EU, including carbon taxes, emissions trading systems, and carbon credit schemes, with system designs differing by country. Non-EU manufacturers already operate while paying these carbon charges.
Over the past three years, my company has been preparing compliance measures for secondary iron and steel products subject to the EU-CBAM. Based on this experience, I would like to respectfully submit the following observations and requests regarding the definitive period. First, we request that the Council promptly adopt the omnibus bill already approved by the European Parliament.
Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion on the CBAM. It is evident that the treatment of CBAM certificates submitted by certified declarants must be adjusted to reflect the scope of free allocation of EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) allowances. We recognize that how such adjustments are made is primarily an internal EU matter and not one on which companies in third countries should take a position.
