We would like to provide the following feedback: AI developers have consistently refused to engage with publishers and acquire licenses for the works they have used in training AI models. Many such uses have been illegal, and pirated sources have been used systematically.
Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels e.V. (German publishers and booksellers association) fully supports the goal of ensuring legal clarity for operators, traders and surveillance authorities on the categories of products falling within the scope of the EUDR.
