How can these be translated into deductions in the Emissions Trading System? What are the measures for ETS installations? Penalties must be predictable and objectives achievable.

We strongly believe that the classification of titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a suspected carcinogen (cat. 2) is inappropriate from the toxicological and epidemiological perspective. Our Industries are downstream users and in case of a classification they will face major uncertainty and reservation from customers side as well as commercial losses with impacts on growth and job security.
Please find our Position paper on EED and RED: The implementation of the results of energy audits under the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and the link to the ETS is critical. There is a risk that the free allocation in the ETS will be reduced by 25 % if audit measures are not implemented.

The Austrian Association for Building Materials and Ceramic Industries, as the legal representative of the Austrian building materials industry, represents 320 member companies with a total annual turnover of 3.1 billion and almost 13,000 employees.
In the context of the current revision of the EU Directive, the Steine-Keramik Trade Association and the Mineral Resources Forum suggest a general increase in the maximum permissible weights by 10 % of the vehicles referred to in point 2 of Annex 1.
