The Association of Nordic Engineers (ANE) welcomes the European Commissions initiative to strengthen womens participation in research, innovation and startups, highlighting persistent gender gaps and structural barriers across Europe. Evidence from the Nordic countries shows that women face challenges such as a lower sense of belonging, discrimination, stereotypes and unequal access to STEM pathways.
