Air Liquide welcomes the Commissions intention to propose an Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator Act (IDAA). We firmly believe that all available emission reduction technologies need to be supported in order to reach the EUs decarbonization and industrial objectives.

Key messages: (1) Renewable and low-carbon Hydrogen will be needed to reach the emission reductions ambitions; (2) Air Liquide welcomes the Commission’s increased ambition on renewable energy through the Renewable Energy Directive.

Our primary objective is to make the regulatory framework more predictable and efficient to support innovation while maintaining high standards for patient safety. We've identified several areas for improvement to create a more proportional and streamlined system.

Air Liquide fully supports the European Commissions objective to promote increased transparency and comparability of Sustainability information. We welcome the European Commissions intention to simplify the sustainability framework and streamline reporting.

As a distributor, the transition is difficult to manage because some suppliers see their MDD certification expire without having MDR certification. the Medical device is then no longer available on the market and finding alternatives may be difficult. This can lead to stock-outs

Hello Good initiative to extend the grace period, however, it must be ensured that the MDD aurpes certificates of notified bodies can be extended. The guide should be provided for in order to analyse the impact of the regulation on the various articles of the regulation. I am thinking in particular of the delay in affixing UDI or not?

Air Liquide welcomes the obligation for Member States to ensure a minimum number of publicly accessible Hydrogen stations are put in place by 2030. However, we believe the European Union should increase this ambition by indicating minimum targets.

Air Liquide welcomes the Commission proposal to set a minimum share of sustainable aviation fuel, including a minimum share of synthetic aviation fuel. Key recommendations include: (i)Fully recognise Hydrogen (H2) as a potential sustainable aviation fuel (ii)Facilitate the uptake of sustainable aviation through adequate funding schemes (iii)Align existing legislation with ReFuelEU Aviation.

We support the Commission's Industrial Carbon Management Strategy published in 2024, and the subsequent initiative to develop a regulatory framework for CO2 infrastructure and markets.
