Directive 82/894/EEC requires Member States to notify the Commission and other Member States within 24 hours of a primary outbreak of any disease listed in Annex I, and of the lifting of restrictions after eradication. Secondary outbreaks are reported weekly. National compliance measures were due by 1 January 1984. It applies to holdings keeping cattle, pigs, sheep, goats or poultry.
