Summary
GeneratedRegulation (EU) 2019/788 governs the European citizens' initiative, allowing one million citizens from at least one quarter of Member States to invite the Commission to propose legislation. It applies from 1 January 2020, replacing Regulation 211/2011. Organizers must form a group of seven EU citizens, register with the Commission, and collect support within 12 months. The regulation is in force.
