Regulation (EU) 2024/1620 establishes the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA), a new EU body seated in Frankfurt, to directly supervise selected high-risk financial entities and coordinate national supervisors and FIUs. It applies from 1 July 2025, with some provisions effective earlier. The regulation is in force and amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2088.
