Summary
GeneratedRegulation (EU) 2023/1542 sets sustainability, safety, labeling and due diligence requirements for all batteries placed on the EU market, plus waste battery collection and recycling rules. It applies from 18 February 2024, with waste provisions from 18 August 2025. It repeals Directive 2006/66/EC and affects manufacturers, importers and distributors.
