GeneratedRegulation (EU) No 1143/2014, in force since 1 January 2015, sets rules to prevent and manage invasive alien species of Union concern. It bans intentional introduction, keeping, breeding, transport, sale, or release of listed species, with permits for research and ex-situ conservation. Member States must establish surveillance, official controls, rapid eradication, and management measures.
