Summary

Generated

Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 governs jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters across EU Member States. It applies from 10 January 2015, replacing Regulation (EC) No 44/2001. The recast abolishes exequatur, allowing judgments to circulate without a declaration of enforceability.
