Summary
GeneratedDirective 2008/57/EC recasts the EU rail interoperability rules, merging the high-speed and conventional rail directives into one framework. It requires technical specifications for interoperability (TSIs) covering infrastructure, rolling stock, signaling and operations, and sets vehicle authorization procedures. Member States had to transpose most provisions by 19 July 2010.
