Summary
GeneratedCouncil Regulation (EC) No 510/2006 sets EU rules for protecting designations of origin (PDO) and geographical indications (PGI) for agricultural products and foodstuffs, excluding wines and spirits. It replaced Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92 and entered into force on publication in the Official Journal on 31 March 2006. The labeling obligation for Community symbols applies from 1 May 2009.
