GeneratedDirective 2004/107/EC sets target values for arsenic, cadmium, nickel and benzo(a)pyrene in ambient air, to be met from 31 December 2012, with benzo(a)pyrene as marker for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It requires monitoring, assessment and public reporting of these pollutants plus mercury deposition. Member States had to transpose by 15 February 2007.
