Summary
GeneratedRegulation (EC) No 1782/2003 replaced most CAP direct aids with a single farm payment decoupled from production, conditioned on cross-compliance with environmental, food safety, animal health and welfare standards. It also set up the farm advisory system and compulsory modulation of payments for 2005-2012. The single payment scheme applied to payment applications from calendar year 2005 onward.
