Summary
GeneratedCouncil Regulation (EC) No 2347/2002 requires a deep-sea fishing permit for vessels landing more than 10 tonnes of Annex I deep-sea species per year, and caps member state effort at 1998-2000 levels. It applies from 1 January 2003 to EU vessels in ICES sub-areas I-XIV and CECAF 34.1.1-34.2. It also sets designated ports, observer and vessel monitoring duties.
