Summary
GeneratedDirective 2002/84/EC amended eleven maritime safety and pollution-prevention directives to replace their existing committees with the Committee on Safe Seas and the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (COSS). It also aligned definitions with the up-to-date versions of IMO instruments and applied Regulation (EC) No 2099/2002 amendment procedures. Member States had to comply by 23 November 2003.
