Directive 2002/32/EC sets EU-wide maximum levels for undesirable substances in animal feed, covering feed materials, premixtures, additives, and compound feedingstuffs. It bans dilution of contaminated products and requires Member States to investigate sources when limits are exceeded. In force since 2003, it has been amended repeatedly; the consolidated version applies from 28 November 2019.
