Summary
GeneratedDirective 96/53/EC sets maximum authorized dimensions and international-traffic weights for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, including trucks, trailers and buses. Member States had to transpose it by 17 September 1997. It bars rejection of compliant vehicles from other Member States and covers proof-of-compliance plates. It is in force.
