GeneratedDirective 90/642/EEC fixes mandatory maximum pesticide residue levels for fruit, vegetables and other plant products put into circulation in the EU. It removes Member States' power to authorize higher national levels, which had fragmented the single market. Member States had to transpose it by 31 December 1992.
