I welcome the objective of making the common visa policy more coherent, efficient and predictable, while facilitating legitimate travel. However, the envisaged reform raises a number of issues which, in my view, should be further clarified, in particular as regards the safeguards surrounding restrictive measures targeting certain categories of travellers, the practical application of the principle of proportionality…
